Arnix – news

Take me back!

Small release v3.1

Git branch for stable!

Features

The stable branch is now a git branch. I can push updates directly to the branch instead of doing a release

you can invoke a emergency shell by adding "arnix.emergency" to kernel parameters

Bugfixes

More GRUB-EFI fixes when reverting the hijack (your system could become unbootable)

Major release v3!

Moar stability!!!

Features

I made the updating process incredibly reliable. No more fear of the updater misbehaving!

you can invoke a emergency shell by adding "arnix.emergency" to kernel parameters

'arnixctl edit' has been added for simplicity sake

Bugfixes

init hooks should no longer cause emergency shells to be invoked

GRUB symlink should update from now on

Changes

"rollback" kernel parameter has been renamed to "arnix.rollback"

Bugfix v2.2!

More reliability improvements!

Small v2.1 update!

This small release features some changes which should make Arnix more reliable.

v2 is out!

I feel like I was on the verge of a burnout

Anyways, this release features automated update merging! (and a LOT of under-the-hood changes)

Note

Updating might fail because I misconfigured cURL in v1 (sorry).

But don't worry; I have a fix for you!

Run sed -i 's,curl -s,curl -L,gm' /arnix/bin/update-arnix.sh as root

Now run arnixctl update again

First ever release of Arnix saw the light of day!

After months of hard work I can announce the first stable release of Arnix!

There were a few breaking changes on the way (but that's to be expected)
